Where do the Digiboxes come from?
Most Sky TV viewers get a Digibox on a 12-month contract after which the Digibox is theirs to keep. After the 12 months is up some continue to watch the free-to-air programmes without paying any further charges. Others continue to pay monthly for their SKY TV package. The clever ones sign up for a new 12-month contract (and receive a new, latest model Digibox), and sell the out-of-contract Digibox. Every year thousands of out-of-contract Digiboxes are sold – many to people in the UK, but many also go to viewers in mainland Europe. And a few to us!
