Where do the campers stay?
The campers stay in dorms with approximately 15 to 30 other campers around the same age. We average 1 counselor for every 15 campers per dormitory. The children may request to stay with their friends when they fill out the camp application. We do our best to meet these requests. All housing facilities are equipped with bathrooms and running water. Check out our housing section for futher questions.
Boys and girls stay within their own units in the camp. Each unit has cabins that your child will be staying in for their week at Camp “R”. Each cabin has 4-6 cabin members and each camper has a spring bed. There are 7-8 cabins per unit. Unit 1 cabins are named after American Indians such as Blackfeet, Iroquois, and Comanche. Unit 2 cabins are named after famous pioneers, such as Annie Oakley, Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie.
