Where do the best coffees come from?
Arguably from the Latin America countries. Remember there is no ‘best coffee’. The best coffee is the one that YOU enjoy most! But generally, the better Arabica coffees come from micro climates found north and south of the Equator between 2000 and 7000 feet above sealevel where its not so hot (24-26 degrees during the day and 12-16 degrees at night with plenty rainfall). The higher the elevation, generally the lower the acidity in the coffee. Coffee that is also shade grown (under the tree canopy of the forest) are recognized to have better characteristics than those that are grown in direct sunlight.
