Where do the bednest materials come from?
The Bednest is made in China and wood is sourced from sustainable forests. – the stand is birch veneered poplar ply (poplar is a fast growing, sustainable softwood that is also lighter weight), the crib base is the same, but the side – rails are solid birch hardwood, and the endpanels a true birch ply. The wood is treated with locally sourced varnishes and lacquers that are compliant to BS EN 1130:1996. The side panels are made in China; the panel surround is 100% cotton, the inner mesh is nylon, the outer mesh is polyester, the webbing is polypropylene and the corner tabs are synthetic (to allow for washing).
