The option of transferring water from London to the south is dependent on something happening in Thames Water area. Their leakage levels are very high and they need to get that under control. They have a consultation underway for a new reservoir and if that goes ahead there may be some surplus water for a period of time long enough to consider transfers from London to Kent.
