Where do stores like marlo and other big name furniture stores get their furniture?
Where furniture retailers get their furniture can vary a great deal. It would first depend on what price point and what type of furniture you are giong to try to sell. For instance, are you going to sell really only living room furniture like a sofa mart might? Or are you going all out like a Nebraska Furniture Mart and selling furniture for all rooms including appliances and electronics? Having said that, many of the large retailers that try to hit mainstream pricepoints import directly. They get furniture from China (likely the biggest supplier), Indonesia, and all over asia and eastern Europe. If you are committed to selling US made furniture (or at least US assembled furniture) then you may want to consider contacting some of hte large manufacturers in the states (many of whom still work through important chinese materials or even products that then get relabeled so be sure to ask if that is a concern of yours).
