Where do people get their morals from?

0

There is mounting evidence that our brain is structured to have an area where morals are developed and fostered. So, from birth, we have a rudimentary understanding of morals and also the ability to continue developing those morals. From then on, experiences teach us the rest. For a while when we are young children, we have very black and white morals. There is good and there is evil, there are few, if any, gray areas. As we grow and mature, we again change our morals to accept situations where there is moral ambiguity, where the answer is not always one sided. One of those experiences can be religious indocrination but even if you had no experience with any religion, you would still develop your own morals.
