Where do PC games fit into id Softwares strategy these days?
Steve Nix: “Obviously, it’s very important to id’s history. We have a lot of fans who are primarily PC gamers and we have put out a lot of PC games. We continue to sell well on the PC even when it’s been tough times for other game developers. But there’s good news. PC sales had an uptick (about 1% to $970 million, according to The NPD Group) for the first time in years at retail last year. And I think there are a lot of good PC games coming out. And you will continue to see the PC as an important platform. “The console is a very important platform for us, as well. If you look at Doom 3, which was id’s most successful title ever from a retail point of view it was almost dead even split down the middle between PC and Xbox.
