Where do lab results appear in the EHR and what needs to be done with them?

New lab results can be viewed under “Documents”. The main document area contains documents that may not need to be associated with a particular patient or have yet to be associated with a patient. Lab results need to be associated with a particular patient. Once a document has been linked with a patient and electronically ‘Signed’, it can be found in the other document section in that patients file.
