The June bugs are new adults which start to emerge from pupation in the Spring reaching their maximum “swarming” numbers May/June when they mate and lay eggs directly into the ground where the grubs hatch and can cause damage to lawns by feeding on the roots of the grass. The oldies die when their reason for being (producing the next generation) is fulfilled. So the answer is back to the soil.
