Where do Infrared Rays Come From?
When heat is generated, so are infrared rays. This heat is felt before it can be seen – indicating the presence of infrared rays. For example, say you want to cook dinner in your electric oven. You can feel that the oven is heating up even before you can see that the coils of the oven are red. The heat you feel is generated by infrared rays. Or how about those sultry evenings? We’ve all experienced those hot nights, even when the sun is down. One factor is infrared rays. You can’t see them, but they are there, helping to keep us warm even at night.
