If you are operating the ceramic heater during the colder months, the reverse switch should be set to the position you would set it in the spring/summer mode so that air is circulated down throughout the room. That way, the hot air generated from the ceramic heater is forced down and mixed with the hot air on the ceiling to create a warm summer breeze effect.
