Set it one to two back from the center notch. This is all pilot preference. There are enough notches to adjust for more forward or back. NOTE: Do not use more than one notch of flap above 55mph. The setting for the flaps at cruise should be set so that the trailing edge of the aileron is 1/2 inch higher than the bottom of the wing.
