Three letters of recommendation are required and normally sufficient. All applicants are strongly encouraged to include at least one academic recommendation and one professional recommendation. Personal letters of recommendation (friends, family members, coaches, et cetera) are not accepted. Letters should come from individuals who have supervised or taught you in an academic, military, or professional setting. May I submit writing samples in addition to statement of purpose?
