Where do I put CSS codes to personalize the layout of my Joomla site?

Joomla can be pretty intimidating at first…there is a lot going on in the admin section. Once you start using it though, you’ll find it gets very easy. First, templates are uploaded through the extension manager. They will usually be installed as soon as you do the upload. From there, go to the template manager and you can apply a template. In the template manager, you can also edit your CSS and HTML. If you loaded a template, editing is what you will be going for, rather than simply loading in your own stuff, unless you’re really handy with it…even then it would be a bit of a hassle. Making a template is a bit more involved, I’m afraid. I bought a book on that one, it was published by WROX, don’t remember who wrote it…but it had everything you’d need to know in it when it comes to making templates. I would start by editing one first, so you get the feel for the Joomla layout and all that.
