Where do I park at Adur recreation ground?
With the building of the new circuit we have used the area at Adur Rec. where we used to park cars. When all the work is complete in covering the old track, and landscaping, (flattening), the pile of earth, we will have a pitting area large enough for cars to enter for our club meetings. this will also require some surfacing of the driveway along the side of the new track perimeter to allow access to the pitting area. Until then, parking will be in the public car park, and at the east end of the track when the ground is too wet to drive on. In dry weather, a limited number, (20 or so), of cars can drive down the side of the track to the west end by the pits. There are now access gates at both ends of the circuit, allowing for pitting at both East and West ends of the track. This will help us accomodate drivers choices in various weather and ground conditions.
