Where do I hire or purchase academic dress for graduation ceremonies?
All graduands (students who are eligible to graduate) will be emailed an attendance form and information on how to hire or purchase their academic dress to their UNE account. Alternatively, you may place your order via the internet by accessing the UNE Union website and clicking ‘Buy Online’. What is the dress code? The graduation ceremony is a formal event. Men should wear long sleeves and tie, trousers and shoes. The tie will assist in securing the graduation hood. A jacket is optional according to your preference and the weather. Women should wear appropriate day wear sufficient to allow the hood to be secured comfortably around the neck and avoids clothing riding up due to the weight of the hood hanging behind you. As the ceremony is outdoors and on the lawns, high heels are not advised.
