Where do I go to find information on government grants or loans?
The Internet: The Office of Federal Financial Management now requires all Federal agencies to post grant opportunities on line as of 7 November 2003. The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance http://www.cfda.gov/ or CFDA. gives you access to a database of all Federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia); federally -recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi-public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals. After you find the program you want, contact the office that administers the program and find out how to apply. This catalog is also available in print format at the Reference Desk of the Fresno County Library. Grants.gov http://www.grants.gov/ is a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and provides access to approximately $400 billion in annual awards. USA.gov http://www.usa.gov
