Where do I get rit from?

0

The official source of rit is the anonymous-ftp site cs.rice.edu [128.42.1.30]. This program is what we (Ananda Kishore and Rama Rao Kanneganti) maintain. Since it is easy to change rit (the shell script or the data base), it is likely that several mutated copies of rit float around. But when we (AK and RRK) refer to rit, it is the version on the above ftp site that is referred to. To get this software, you need to type the following: % ftp 128.42.1.30 Type anonymous at the Name prompt and your userid at the Password prompt. Then, ftp> cd public ftp> binary ftp> get rit20.tar.Z ftp> quit % uncompress rit20.tar.Z % tar -xvf rit20.
