Where do I get a parking permit?
Orientation Leaders will be greeting you at the entrances of the Pangea Parking Structure during your check-in time. Your one-day parking pass is valid in spaces painted with yellow squares with a black “S” on the ground or spaces painted with green squares with a black “B” on the ground. You must circle the appropriate date on your pass and display on the driver-side dash. Should you arrive and miss the orientation greeters, please use the coin operated meters located on the top floor and ask for a parking pass at check-in. If you arrive after check-in, please purchase a permit at the Northpoint Visitor Information Center, just east of North Torrey Pines Road. http://maps.ucsd.edu/.
Parking decals (non-expiring) may be obtained at the CAMPUS POLICE Department located at State and College. Decals must be placed on the lower portion of the back window or on the front lower left hand side of the front window (where Oklahoma State inspection was placed) and to be displayed at all times while parked on or adjacent to university property. Replacements for lost or destroyed decals are available during regular office hours, as well as additional decals for multiple cars. Motorcycle decals are also available.
Beginning November 1, 2007 the bookstore will no longer be selling parking permits for future semesters. Parking Permits for the Spring 2008 semester and all future semesters must be purchased via CLASS-Web. A Student ID number (*WID or SSN) and the Vehicle License Plate Number is needed when purchasing a parking permit.
Parking permits are available during registration at each campus. If you did not get a permit at the time of registration, you may pick up a permit at the Pioneer Student Center on the main campus, or at the Business Office at the Fort Bend Technical Center and the Sugar Land campuses. You must have a parking permit no later than the first week of classes. Warnings will be given for violations of parking regulations only during the first week of classes.
