Where do I find WorldCat, the FirstSearch database that lets me search the collections of libraries worldwide?
FirstSearch is a group of databases from the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC), that provide references to books and journal articles. The primary database in FirstSearch is WorldCat – it provides bibliographic information for over 41 million books and multimedia in libraries worldwide. WorldCat is linked under “W” in the database list on the LIbrary’s website. To obtain items identified in Worldcat that are not owned by the IC Library, use our Interlibrary Loan service.
