Safety Programs Afloat Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS), NAVEDTRA 43460-4B, NSN 0501-LP-482-9500 was distributed in October 1996. It can be obtained through Naval Education and Training Professional Development Technology Center’s (NETPDTC’s) website at https://www.advancement.cnet.navy.mil/pqs/. This PQS contains watchstation qualifications for Collateral Duty Safety Officer; Electrical Safety Officer; Divisional Safety Petty Officer; Electrical Tool Issue Petty Officer, and Heat Stress Monitor. Requirements for the Safety Programs Afloat PQS are listed in OPNAVINST 5100.19(Series).
