Where do I find information on public Indian housing assistance?
There are several agencies that provide this information. The Office of Public and Indian Housing (PIH) ensures safe, decent, and affordable housing, creates opportunities for residents’ self-sufficiency and economic independence, and assures the fiscal integrity of all program participants. PIH also provides contact information for the public housing agency in your state. The Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) provides administration of programs, including working closely with tribes and tribally designated housing entities to help address housing and community development issues. Additional information can be found on the information guide titled Housing and Homelessness which is available through RAC.
