Ponds, lakes, wetlands and slow-moving rivers are great places for this species. In Canada, Green Frogs are native to Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. Although not native to British Columbia and Newfoundland, they have been introduced there and may pose a threat to other native frogs in these areas.
