Where do earwigs come from?
A. From heaven, like the rest of God’s creations. The earwig is both in the good and the bad bug families, but his bads outdo his goods, so we must remove his presence. The good is that he eats some smaller insects; the bad is that he eats everything else in sight—foodstuffs, houseplants, and flowers. He sleeps all day and eats all night, hides indoors in dark places and outside in dark, dry places. To keep him outside, spray or dust around your house foundation with Dursban or Sevin and spray plants with Malathion. Use flea and tick shampoo in spray.
