Where do cold sores on the nose come from?
Lots of things can cause cold sores on or in the nose. I get them. My dad and my brother and I all get them. We don’t get them on our mouths, just the nose. I find that I’m more prone to getting them when I am stressed out, sick, menstruating, or if I’ve had a trauma to the nose (like kneeing myself in the face…I’m clumsy! LOL). They will take 7-10 days to clear up. The best stuff I’ve found for them is tea tree oil…it shortens the recovery time – it smells like varnish, but is well worth it. Moist compresses and hot showers help…keep them from getting too dry, and DON’T pick them, no matter how itchy they get. I’ve also found that if you put make-up on them, it only makes them look worse. Hope I helped!
