Where do birds go to die?
Answer Hi Jim, The birds are not going elsewhere to die. Birds, for the most part, are small and have hollow bones, making them a simple meal for many animals. There are plenty of scavengers that will eat the dead birds before you even have a chance to see it. I don’t know where your farm is, but anything from crows to raccoons to feral cats to insects will feast on dead birds and leave very little trace behind. Even in situations where a bird has not been consumed, it would take a fair bit of luck to stumble across a dead bird on your farm (I assume you are not doing a systematic survey for dead birds!).
