Morality comes from the social contract, which acts in the best interest of any given community. This social contract can basically be boiled down to ‘treat others like you want to be treated and everything will be super’ and certainly existed long before any modern religions existed. Atheists arepretty good people, donating time and resources to charity just like any other person.
