Where did the steriotype of dumb blonde come from?
Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, “Legally Blonde”; need I go on? There are plenty of smart blondes, but there are also plenty of dumb ones. There are plenty of idiotic Americans, but there are also intelligent ones. Every race, every different eye color, every different hair color; they all have smart and stupid people, but that doesn’t justify anyone to STEREOTYPE everyone from one particular group. Do you know how sick I am of those who say that the Chinese are illiterate and they all have accents and they all don’t know proper English grammar and spelling? I should know; I am Chinese. I’ve known too many people who say that. Yet they are the ones who end up yelling, “Like, omigosh! I totally…!” Who ever said that was proper grammar? Oh, and let’s not forget the numerous people who misspell PREGNANT every single freakin’ day here. Stereotypes are dumb in general.
