Where did the nickname “Legacy” come from?
Legacy: Some friends a long time ago when I first started breaking — they all started before me, three or four years prior to me. When I started dancing, they said I progressed fast and I learned quick, so they said that someone passed down “the legacy” to me. I was 15 years old and I didn’t know what that meant, so I went home and looked up the definition and it said “something passed down from ancestors.” I choose the name because someone else gave it to me. I figured I would live up to the name instead of just calling myself that. I keep it as a standard that I always have to try to meet. It’s like an inner battle with myself — maintain the legacy.
