Where did the nickname “Chucky” originate?
Charles Lee Ray, known as the “Lakeshore Strangler” and his primary name “Chucky” is a fictional character, the primary antagonist in the Child’s Play horror film series, with the original screenplay credited to Don Mancini, John Lafia and Tom Holland. On November 9, 1988, Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif), the notorious “Lakeshore Strangler”, is wounded by a cop, Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon).
