Where did the name SmartPH come from, and what does it stand for?
The Learning Management System (LMS) Implementation Advisory Committee hosted a contest to name Washington State’s new LMS. Rick Mockler, with the Snohomish Health District, proposed “System for Management of Attendance, Registration, and Training.” The group agreed that using an acronym of this name, along with a public health identifier, worked best. So SmartPH is the new name for Washington’s LMS.
