Where did the Greek myths come from?
The Greeks gave the world such things as astronomy, mathematics, engineering, architecture, and literature. They were the first Europeans to write books, and two authors, Homer and Hesiod, wrote long poems about the gods and goddesses and mans involvement with them. Homers Iliad and Odyssey are about the Trojan War and one heros journey home after it. Hesiods Works and Days tells about the Olympians and stories relating to them. Other Greek poets and playwrights also provide stories about the gods and about men who interacted with them (Graves).
