Where did the Flight Focus PLATFORM™ name come from? I thought it was called AMDS (Advanced Mission Display System)?
We decided to change the individual names used for our solution to help our customers better understand how Flight Focus differs from other traditional EFB providers in the market. The AMDS (Advanced Mission Display System), along with the AMDP (Advanced Mission Data Processor) and the AMMS (Advanced Mission Management System) are now referred to as the Flight Focus PLATFORM™. With regards to where the name came from, we felt the word PLATFORM really shows that our solution is more than just a Class 3 EFB – it is a platform where an Airline’s complete set of applications, business processes and operational requirements can be met both in the air and on the ground. We hope you like the new name!
