Meriden Police Investigate Fatal Stabbing Victim Found Behind Local Bar By MEREDITH MAZOL Updated 11:30 AM EDT, Sat, Jul 11, 2009 Meriden Police are investigating a fatal stabbing behind an area bar Friday night. Police were called to Raffy’s Bar at 163 Springdale Avenue around 11:25 p.m. Friday on a report of an assault. Behind the bar, police found a man suffering from stab wounds to the chest. The victim was taken to Mid-State Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. He is identified as Willie Brown, 41, Middletown.
