Where did the European Chafer Beetle come from?
Besides the obvious answer, it was first discovered in BC in New Westminster in 2001. An infested shipment to a nursery is believed to be the source and it has been spreading west ever since. The fall of 2009 areas along from Cambie Street to Granville began seeing major property damage from the animals seeking the grubs.
