Where did the dinosaurs skins go when they died?
When dinosaurs died they usually turned to dust. Some were preserved as fossils if covered over swiftly. Sometimes, with the right conditions, the animal can be covered over so soon after death that the flesh doesn’t rot right away, and the skin impression is pressed into the rock and we see the skin pattern. To date, no one has found actual dinosaur skin.
