Mostly from Carlton E. Morse himself. Morse had transcribed recordings for all the “complete” or “nearly complete” ILAMs that are circulating today. He allowed these to circulate among fans, beginning in the mid 1960s. All copies of THE THING THAT CRIES IN THE NIGHT, BURY YOUR DEAD ARIZONA, THE RICHARD CURSE and TEMPLE OF VAMPIRES came from his original recordings, which Jim Harmon helped encourage him to circulate.. Note: As an aside, many persons who are fans of ILAM and have heard only the taped versions of these stories have no idea the show was originally a 15 minute serial, since many of the opening and closing segments were not made available from the reproductions made from Morse’s personal holdings. The only other nearly complete run of an ILAM serial comes from a air-check (i.e.. a recording made from a radio broadcast by a fan) is from the story THE HERMIT OF SAN FELIPE ATABAPO.
