Where did the Bride and Bridesmaids get their dresses, etc?
The Bride’s corset and skirt were made by Terry Fay, The Corset Lady who runs the Six Days Boutique, 2724 NE Alberta St. The boutique also features many other wonderful handmade clothes and accessories by Portland designers. The Bridesmaids, Kris and Theresa, created their own dresses based on the “Gothic Lolita” style, contributing immensely to Monica’s vision of a Victorian Gothic/Edward Gorey/Tim Burton style wedding. The Gothic purses were made by Renee Bosler, www.lemurgurlart.com . She is based in Portland, but often sells her delightful handmade bags and Gothic Folk Art paintings from her eBay store. Renee can also take custom orders. The Bride’s and Bridesmaid’s hair was done by Denyce of the Dirty Little Secret Salon at 1909 NE MLK Jr. Blvd in Portland. (503-288-8968). Denyce also deserves a very special thanks for rescuing the Bride’s hair from some unsatisfactory D.I.Y. hair-dying experiences.
