Where did the Bad Cat name originate?
JH: The original name was “Panther Amplifiers” however a change was necessary after we discovered that our trademark attorney had failed to do his homework (as the Panther name was already being used). We had already picked our model names and incorporated the cat eyes into the logo, so we really wanted to stick with the feline theme. Shortly thereafter, the name Bad Cat came up and then became the logical choice. MH: Tell us a bit about your staff, manufacturing facility, and key designers at the company. JH: The Bad Cat staff is comprised of my family, and some great people who wear a number of different hats. Tracy Sands has been with us since the beginning as our in house Tech and one of our Engineers. He has been in the music industry for a number of years working previously at CBS/Fender and Music Man as a Tech, as well as having run his own businesses.
