Where did SpongeBob and Patrick actually land the rocket?
“SpongeBob SquarePants” Season 1 (Episodes 11-20) Bikini Bottom. Since SpongeBob and Patrick do not know how to control the rocket, it circles the moon a couple of times before heading straight back down into Bikini Bottom. The boys think they have landed on the moon, and that the aliens have projected the environment of Bikini Bottom on that of the moon, to trick them. SpongeBob and Patrick then capture all of the people they encounter. When Sandy finally catches up with them, they believe that she is also an alien and tie her up too! SpongeBob and Patrick become suspicious of each other, and Patrick ends up tying himself up (with the aid of a gun which shoots out netting), and with all the “aliens” safely on board the rocket, SpongeBob thinks he is heading back for home. The rocket’s fuel runs out when he is directly above the moon, prompting him to realize that he has indeed mistaken the real Bikini Bottom for the moon.
