Where did Prom take place in the film A Cinderella Story?
First of all it was called a Ball, not a prom, proms are associated with High schools and colleges, etc. the Ball was held in a Royal Palace. As we do not know her nationality it could have been- if French, Versailles, if Russian, the Kremlin Winter Palace-Stacy”s stamping grounds! As the story tellers were French (Perrault as I recall, and I am not a fairy-tale fan) it probably was the Palace of Versailles, all of the French Palaces had Mansard roofs, named after the architect, and popular in some US big Mansions- Had a stately, split-level approach.
