Where did Prince Albert die in 1861?
According to the official web site provided by the British Monarchy on the history of Windsor Castle: “Prince Albert died of typhoid at Windsor in 1861 and was buried in a spectacular mausoleum that Queen Victoria constructed at Frogmore in the Windsor Home Park.” Reference: www.royal.gov.uk/output/page574.asp Perhaps it is rarely mentioned in histories, because there was nothing particularly remarkable about his passing away after an illness in his own home.
