From your question I presume that you are not from Australia. The Maroons are Rugby League players who come from the state of Queensland and represent Queensland at Rugby League. Ignore Bingalee’s comments the people/league players he is describing are called Silvertails. Bingalee is probably confused because the playing colours of the Silvertails include a lot of maroon, also deep down many Silvertails wish they were Maroons.
