He did not invent the light bulb. Edison is usualy credited. Mr. Davy may have developed an early form of carbon-arc lamp but this was priitive and not a bulb. The british scientist contributed to the caloric theory and did discover sodium and also laughing gas-nitrous oxide, but not light bulbs!
