Where could someone learn how to fly a ww2 aircraft.?
First you get your private pilots license and get some experience. Then you strike oil or win the lottery. Even small military airplanes swallow enormous amounts of expensive aviation gasoline. Next you buy the kind of plane you want and find a mechanic to maintain it.Not easy. A ww2 airplane is at least 65 years old and you can’t get parts at the local hardware store. If you’re thinking about a fighter, they only have one seat, so you would need to find someone with a trainer willing to give you lessons in a priceless antique that could cost as much as $3,000 an hour to fly and maintain. Get your license and hang around an airport. Maybe something will happen.
