Where can you buy Wiltons butter-cream frosting?
The recipe I have from the Wilton class I took is a basic butter cream frosting. There are 3 recipes that are used one for frosting and filling the other for decorations. Frosting and filling 1 pound powdered sugar 16 ounces shortening or butter 4 ounces liquid, milk, cream,or half and half pinch of salt flavor to taste Cream butter and sugar, scrape sides of bowl often. Add liquid one ounce at a time, again scrape bowl often. When icing peaks; it is of correct consistency. Add flavoring. Keep icing covered to prevent drying. For decorations 1 pound powdered sugar 12 ounces shortening or butter 4 ounces liquid pinch of salt flavor to taste Mix ingredients same as for frosting directions. Butter cream for roses 1 pound powdered sugar 8 ounces shortening 2 ounces cold water pinch of salt 1 teaspoon corn syrup flavor to taste Cream shortening, water, corn syrup, salt and flavor, scrape bowl often.
