Where can you buy replacement speaker foam for stereo systems besides buying them online?
Foam surrounds on speakers tend to deteriorate after about 15 to 20 years in service. This is a polite way of saying the foam surrounds turn to dust, rendering the speaker useless. Some manufacturers sell foam replacement kits for their speakers. You would need to contact a local dealer or the national distributer of the speaker’s manufacturer. A local electronics store that carries audio parts or a retailer that specializes in speakers and related products may carry a compatible replacement surround. Big box stores do not carry such products (and have no interest in them). You may want to consider replacing your speakers, if they are old enough to have the foam surrounds deteriorate. There have been significant improvements in speaker quality over the past couple of decades.
