Where can yellow sac spiders be found?
The genus Cheiracanthium, which is the genus that is most often refered to as “yellow sac spider”, can be found world wide, including California. This is bugguide.net’s range of reported and identified species in the US and Canada; http://bugguide.net/node/view/3383/data Also, the easiest way to evict a spider is the cup and paper method. Get a cup and a piece of paper, put the open end of the cup over the spider trapping it, and then slip the piece of paper under the cup. Then you can turn it over and there is little fear of the spider dropping or getting out. After that, just shake the cup into the garden or front yard. I liked the spider karma idea though..
