Where can students get AR books?
Students may check out books from the school library or any of the public libraries. Also, students may even purchase AR books from the book fairs or from bookstores. Before checking out or purchasing an AR book, a student may want to check to make sure that we do have the AR quiz for that book and whether the quiz tests on the abridged and/or the unabridged version. When can students check out books? The Hermosa Heights library is open on a normal basis from 8:00 -3:15 Monday through Friday. Students may come before or after school, during break, or during their Reading class. If a student comes during a class period without the teacher, the student is required to come with a note that specifies the purpose for being there (to take an AR quiz or to check out a book), how long the student is allowed to be there, and who sent them.
